
The stars of Scrubs are officially back together!
Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke, Zach Braff, Judy Reyes and John C McGinley have reunited for the first table read of the upcoming ABC revival series. They were also joined by creator Bill Lawrence.

“A new chapter begins,” Zach shared on Instagram with the photo.
“25 years ago we had our first table read for Scrubs. I can’t believe we’re lucky enough to get to do it again…” Sarah added on her account.
“Back together, 25 years later, for first table read and cast photo! ✊🏽♥️🤸🏽,” Judy shared on her Instagram.
The original stars will all be reprising their roles in the half-hour comedy revival – Donald as Christopher Turk, Sarah as Elliot Reid, Zach as John “J.D.” Dorian, Judy as Carla and John as Dr Perry Cox. Judy and John will serve as guest stars.
Additionally, Zach, Donald and Sarah will also serve as executive producers.
In the upcoming revival, “JD and Turk scrub in together for the first time in a long time: Medicine has changed; interns have changed; but their bromance has stood the test of time. Characters new and old navigate the waters of Sacred Heart with laughter, heart and some surprises along the way.”
ABC has set the show’s premiere for midseason 2026, meaning it could debut at any point from January to March. Stay tuned for an official premiere date.
The original Scrubs ran for seven season on NBC from 2001 to 2008, followed by two seasons at ABC from 2009 to 2010.
