
Seth Rogen is opening up about a potential sequel to Pineapple Express!
The 43-year-old actor starred in the 2008 movie with James Franco and Danny McBride, while also serving as co-writer and executive producer.
While appearing on series What Happens Live with Platonic co-stars Rose Byrne and Luke Macfarlane on Tuesday night (August 12), Seth responded to a fan question about the possibility of a sequel to the “stoner comedy.”

“Maybe,” Seth shared. “We can probably sell it to streaming or something.”
Andy added that he thinks there is a “big demand” for a follow up, which Seth replied, “There could be. You never know. I don’t know. I’m not great with sequels. It’s not where my mind goes, but maybe one day.”
Back in 2020, Seth revealed on The Howard Stern Show that they actually already tried to make a sequel, but the studio shut it down.
Pineapple Express anthem theaters in August 2008, and debuted at No 2 at the box office with $23.2 million, just behind The Dark Knight. It’s global total at the box office was $101.5 million, and currently holds a 68% Tomatometer on Rotten Tomatoes, with a 73% audience score.
