Grey’s Anatomy will be celebrating a major milestone this season!
Ahead of the season 22 premiere, series creator Shonda Rhimes reunited with many of the show’s current stars to celebrate the upcoming 450th episode.
On Thursday (October 2), ABC shared a bunch of photos of the cast, crew, and executives all gathered on set to celebrate the occasion with a giant “450″ cake set on best of a hospital bed in front of a sign of the Seattle skyline looking like a heart rate.
Keep reading to find out more…Cast members in attendance included James Pickens Jr., Chandra Wilson, Debbie Allen, Kim Raver, Camilla Luddington, Kevin McKidd, Chris Carmack, Niko Terho, Jason George, Anthony Hill, Harry Shum Jr., Alexis Floyd, and Kathy C. An.
Executive producers Betsy Beers and Meg Marinis were also featured in the photos.
Skipping out on the festivities was Ellen Pompeo, who has starred on the show since its premiere in 2005, but took a major step back in 2022.
Season 22 of Grey’s Anatomy premieres on Thursday, October 9 at 10pm ET on ABC. the 450th episode will air the following week on October 16.
The premiere photos may have revealed who didn’t survive that hospital explosion in the shocking season 21 finale.
