Not much to report here. Three teams in the Globe leading 20 rankings lost, but all were explainable. No. 5 Central Catholic likely expected to keep it closer, but there’s no shame in a loss to No. 3 SJP. Same with No. 6 Mansfield, which struggled to keep up with Springfield Central, falling 28-3. At the back end of the leading 20, No. 18 Methuen was tripped up by No. 20 Tewksbury, 28-6.
Jacoby Casinelli-Tarasuik, Essex Tech — The senior commanded the field, throwing two touchdown passes and rushing for two more as the Hawks picked up their first-ever Cape Ann League win, 28-21, over Newburyport.
Zachary Fultz, Danvers — In his season debut the sophomore spearheaded a 34-32 win over Reading with three rushing touchdowns, including jaunts of 60 and 63 yards, as well as a blocked punt that was returned for a touchdown.
Brady McCormack, Medfield — Another week, another monster day for the senior, who churned up 247 total yards and three touchdowns, including a 61-yard run, in a 35-12 victory against Hopkinton.
Connor McDonald, King Philip — The senior picked off three passes and led the team in total tackles (3.5) as the Warriors handled Norwood, 43-0.
Brendan McMahon, Silver Lake — The senior contributed every which way, scoring touchdowns as a rusher, receiver, and kick returner, as well as drilling a pair of field goals (27 and 33 yards) in a 39-8 win over Arlington.
Nick O’Brien, Tri-County — A weekly staple in this space, the junior did it again, breaking off touchdown runs of 86 and 57 yards as part of a 201-yard day on the ground. He added 82 receiving yards and led the defense with seven tackles in a 40-17 victory against Joseph Case.
Tie game with 15 seconds left and No. 7 Scituate wasn’t thinking field goal, letting Jonny Donovan find Miller Shea for a 5-yard score to give the Sailors a 34-28 nonleague win over Norwell.
North Attleborough and Taunton were scoreless at halftime, and with the clock winding down the Hockomock rivals were still tied at 14. Enter senior Nick Torres, who banged home a 24-yard field goal as time expired for a 17-14 win for the Red Rocketeers.
▪ Essex Tech joined the Cape Ann League last fall and before Friday had lost all nine of its league matchups, but a 28-21 win over Newburyport got them off the schneide.
▪ Shrewsbury coach John Aloisi, who also coached at Nantucket, won his 100th career game, beating Haverhill 35-0.
Congratulations to Head Football Coach John Aloisi on winning his 100th career game as a head coach. EFFORT/ATTITUDE/DISCIPLINE at its best!

A few of our favorite videos from Friday night.
Will Wood recovering his own fumble and scoring on a 41-yard run for Xaverian.
Apponequet’s Bryce Figueroa finding daylight for a 55-yard punt return TD.
Andover sophomore Henry Belcscher connecting on a 40-yard field goal.
Hudson Garrity firing a 37-yard TD pass to Zay Whigham, who caught three of them on the day.
Hingham’s Jake Varholak finding JT Reale on a 25-yard scoring strike with 31 seconds left, although the Harbormen would be unable to complete the point-after following a penalty and lost, 27-26.
