Rumours are swirling about who could play the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show, with one source saying UK singer Adele has been approached.
Page Six has reported that Adele has been approached to perform but has not yet agreed to play.
Adele publicly turned down the gig in 2017, telling a crowd at a Los Angeles show that she rejected the performance.
“First of all, I’m not doing the Super Bowl… I mean, that show is not about track. I can’t dance or anything like that. They were very kind, they did ask me, but I did say no,” she said at the time.
The singer’s fiancé, Rich Paul, is a major sports agent, with Adele attending the Super Bowl previously as a fan.

She told her fans in 2024 that she had gone the year before, but not to series football.
”Last year I went, obviously I didn’t go for the football at all. I went to series Rihanna,” she said.
She’s not the only star rumoured to perform.
There’s buzz that Taylor Swift, fiancée of Chiefs tight-end Travis Kelce, could play the halftime show, as well as rumours that Miley Cyrus could take the stage at the iconic gig.
Of course, if Swift performed, it would be a full circle moment for the pop star.
She couldn’t do it in 2024 or 2025 because she was focusing on the global phenomenon The Eras Tour.
There’s no reason why she couldn’t perform at the 2026 Super Bowl, of course, unless she doesn’t want to.
Other artists that have a good shot include Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and Drake, according to Billboard.
Gaga just won a Grammy and is undertaking a world tour, with a gap in her touring schedule that aligns with the Super Bowl.
The performer has never played the gig, but we all know it would be iconic if she did.
Justin Bieber also has a shot, with two new albums out, the singer would be itching to get back on stage after he was forced to cancel his world tour for health reasons.
Following the viral halftime show featuring Kendrick Lamar, Drake may have a shot at performing at the 2026 gig.
