She noted that that things progressed “really speedy” for her dad, who has historically had a “perfect EKG” in his physical over years, but after undergoing a resting stress test, doctors found that he had five blockages and advised that he undergo the procedure immediately.
“[Doctors we’re like], ‘We gotta do this tomorrow. We don’t know how you walked in here,” Taylor recalled.
The Grammy went on to say that she, along with Travis, and her mom and brother Austin Swift all helped Scott with his recovery after the surgery.
“We moved in with him for the whole summer pretty much. [He couldn’t] really walk on [his] own. We had a harness for my dad just walking dad on his harness,” Taylor recalled. “He was like the loveliest patient ever. He kept saying thank you over and over again.”
After sharing that Scott is doing “incredible” today, she added that her mom is also doing “great” after undergoing knee surgery.
“This was the summer of my parental upgrades,” Taylor joked. “We’re just upgrading the parents, making sure they live to be at least 186 years old because they are two of my best friends.”
