
Taylor Swift‘s “grand finale” countdown ahead of the release of The Life of a Showgirl was for signed CDs… and they all sold out very quickly!
The 35-year-old singer is less than a week away from dropping her 12th studio album and she has been putting countdown clocks on her website for the past month, leaving fans speculating over what is to come.
Most of the countdown clocks have led to the drop of new variants of the album cover, which were only available for a special time.
The final countdown clock led to the release of special edition CDs that came with a hand signed photo.

Within two hours of the release, the CDs were all sold out. Fans who were quick enough the add the CDs to their shopping carts had to sit in a queue to check out. The queues were more than 90 minutes long for some fans and eventually, many shoppers were informed that the CDs had all sold out before they could check out.
The CDs with hand signed photo were meant to be available until September 28 at 3:59pm ET, or while supplies lasted, and they didn’t last long!
