Teresa Giudice Says She Wants to Reconcile and Make Peace with Joe and Melissa Gorga After Explosive Family Feud!
Teresa Giudice is turning over a new leaf — the Real Housewives of New Jersey star says she’s finally ready to bury the hatchet with her brother Joe Gorga and his wife Melissa.
Last month, Teresa hinted she was open to reconciliation, saying she would “never say never” when it comes to healing family rifts. Teresa, 52, revealed on a podcast that she’s already reached out to Joe and Melissa, saying she’s ready to “speak” and “meet” with them. “Time does heal all wounds,” she said. “And when time goes by, you forget things.”
“If someone doesn’t get along, be the bigger person. Try to make it work,” she continued. “I’ve got to practice what I preach.”
Her olive branch follows years of bitter tension. Teresa and Joe’s relationship shifted dramatically when he and Melissa joined RHONJ in Season 3. Things escalated when Joe and Melissa didn’t attend Teresa’s 2022 wedding to Luis Ruelas, and by Season 13, the siblings had formally cut ties.
But Teresa insists her effort to reconcile isn’t about the show. “[My daughter] Gia and I were in Morocco for Special Forces, and we had a lot of bonding time,” she explained. “What made me choose that [was] not because I’m worried about getting back on the cast. It is what it is. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn’t, it doesn’t.”
She added that she wants to “set a good example” for her four daughters.
Still, not everyone’s convinced. Melissa called the timing “strange.” “The truth is, for the last year, the door has been closed,” she said. “The fact that the door is today open seems like strange timing to me.” “She’s said out loud on multiple platforms, podcasts, whatever it might be, that the door is closed,” she states. “So, the truth is, I’m just confused why it might be opening or cracking a little bit.”
“Neither of us have had any contact in probably two years at this point, so that’s just so strange to come out with that out of nowhere,” she added.
Fans are also split. “She realized all their bickering ruined the show — and her main paycheck,” one viewer claimed. “Let’s see her back up her words with actions. I’ll believe it when I see it,” one fan tweeted. Another said, “Melissa and Joe have been fine without the toxicity — they don’t need her, she needs them.”
Others are rooting for a reunion: “About time they made up, sheesh,” one fan wrote. Another added, “I’m glad she realizes they’d be stronger united instead of arguing 24/7.” “You can tell Gia’s influence is strong — she’s pushing her mom to heal.” Meanwhile, one skeptic joked, “Give it two episodes before they’re yelling again at a group dinner.”
