Tamar Braxton is staying mum on the drama about to unfold on season 2 of The Braxtons.
“mami, I don’t know nothing about that show! I don’t know,” Tamar, 48, exclusively shared with Us Weekly while celebrating the first-ever National PrEP Day by MISTR on Thursday, October 9. “I really don’t know. I haven’t seen any of it.”
Last month, We TV released the first trailer for season 2 of The Braxtons. In the sneak peek, Tamar and her sister Toni Braxton appear to have a tense discussion at dinner, which leads to tables being moved.
While Tamar said she has not seen the episode in question, the reality star is happy to report she is cool with her family.
“Toni and I went out to dinner. It was her birthday two days ago,” she explained to Us at The Abbey in West Hollywood, California. “She’s fifty-fine and, yeah, we’re hanging out all weekend. It’s just family. Family fall in and family fall out. We’re always going to be family.”
Before signing up for season 2 of The Braxtons, Tamar admitted that she was a little apprehensive about participating in more reality TV.
Ultimately, she decided to reunite with her sisters Toni, Towanda and Trina as well as her mom, Ms. Evelyn Braxton, to share their unfiltered and authentic selves with the world.

“[I] did not want to do the second season,” she admitted. “But you know, you show up for your family whenever they need you so here I am.”
Earlier this summer, Tamar experienced a health scare when she suffered a facial injury.
In a shocking social media post, the reality star said she “almost died” after “being found in a pool of blood.”
“As the days go by, the worse it is. I fractured my nose, lost some teeth and mobility,” she wrote via her Instagram Story on August 19. “The way I look at life immediately is totally different. As my health is on the mend, my mental journey begins. Pray for me for real. I don’t even know what happened to me.”

Nearly two months after the incident, Tamar is grateful for the progress she has made — even if she doesn’t have all the answers as to what caused the injuries.
“I am back. Tamar Braxton is back, baby!” she proclaimed to Us. “It was very scary, but I’m on the mend, and here I am. We don’t know what happened, but you know, thank God for Jesus that it was nothing that they could equate it to except for sleepwalking, which is lit.”
Tamar added, “Come to find out, 75 percent of Americans have sleepwalking issues, and you can’t take sleeping pills because it’ll make you sleepwalk even more.”
On Thursday night, Tamar let her hair down by joining Tristan Schukraft and MISTR in celebrating the first-ever National PrEP Day. PrEP is a daily pill or twice-yearly injection that helps reduce HIV transmission by up to 99 percent.
“Listen, I am a woman that’s on PrEP,” she shared with Us. “It’s been so important to me because once I found out about PrEPing and how it’s not just for one group of people and how it works for us all, it just became my obligation to tell people everything and the good news that I know.”
The Braxtons airs on We TV Fridays at 8 p.m. ET.
