The male escort who testified at Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal sex crimes trial has broken his silence after the disgraced beat mogul received a 50-month sentence last Friday.
Sharay Hayes, also known as “The Punisher,” initially believed that Diddy should have been sentenced to time served, but after hearing the judge’s reason for the sentence, he agreed with the time Diddy would have to spend behind bars.
Judge Aran Subramanian said a lengthy sentence was required “to send a message to abusers and victims alike that exploitation and violence against women is met with real accountability.”
“I don’t want to invalidate anything the victims went through, and I have been thinking of [Casandra “Cassie” Ventura],” The Punisher told Daily Mail. “This is a man who did terrible things.”
“But the world is so harsh because everybody thinks his remorse is not real. This guy’s life — his fall from grace — is a devastating circumstance,” Hayes continued. “I have a ton of empathy, and I actually feel very sorry for the guy.”
The Punisher went on to note that he sees “genuine remorse” from Diddy.
