Toosii is proving that passion and perseverance can open more than one door. The multi-platinum rapper announced this weekend that he’s been offered a spot to play Division I football for Sacramento State.
“Man, the Lord is powerful,” Toosii shared on Instagram while thanking head coach Brennan Marion and recruiter C.J. Pollard. “This don’t even feel real, man. I’m speechless right today. I don’t even know what to say.” The post included images of him in the Hornets’ green and white uniform, clearly proud of the milestone.
Sacramento State recently pulled out a win over Mercyhurst, putting them at 1-2 for the season. While it’s unclear if Toosii will join the roster this year, the offer marks a major personal win for the 25-year-old, who made his athletic goals public earlier this summer.
In August, he told fans he aimed to be “the first multi-platinum recording creator to go back to school and play Division I football,” dropping training footage from North Carolina State University.
All this comes while Toosii continues to push his track forward. He is currently on tour with NBA YoungBoy, though it’s unclear when he will be releasing new track of his own.
