Taylor Swift is making it crystal clear: her heart belongs to Travis Kelce.
The “Fate of Ophelia” singer included multiple nods to the Kansas City Chiefs star in her new track video for The Life of a Showgirl, officially released on October 5. Fans quickly spotted a full-on cameo of Travis, which appears to reference a viral moment from years before their romance even began.
Within the first 40 seconds of the video, a photo of Travis is pinned to the mirror in a dressing room scene, where Taylor, dressed in a red leotard and sporting a short blonde bob, is surrounded by her Eras Tour dancers. The photo shows a younger Travis with a beard and side-parted hair. One fan on X theorized it comes from the infamous 2016 AfterBuzz TV interview, where Travis picked Taylor as his “kiss” in a game of “Marry, Kiss, Kill” alongside Katy Perry and Ariana Grande.
Elsewhere in the video, Taylor included another subtle nod to her fiancé. During a hotel room scene, she is tossed a football while singing, “Pledge allegiance to your hands, your team, your vibes,” a clear wink to the Chiefs player.

The track itself is one of several on Taylor’s 12th studio album that seem dedicated to Travis. Back in July, Travis gave fans an Easter egg about the song while officially launching his romance with Taylor on Instagram. He captioned a post, referencing the song’s chorus, “Had some adventures this offseason, kept it 100.”
Travis has also been a major supporter of Taylor’s up-to-date release. On his birthday, October 5, he attended the theatrical release of her album visuals with his mom, Donna Kelce, and he’s been listening to the album on repeat for months.
“I keep listening to this album,” he told his brother Jason Kelce during an August 27 “New Heights” episode. “I know she mentioned that it’s gonna be a lot more pop beats, but it’s just still so poetic in her melodies and her references and stuff.” He added, “It’s just so much fun to listen to, man.”
The lyrics of “The Fate of Ophelia” seem to nod to Travis’ role in Taylor’s life. “I heard you calling / On the megaphone,” she sings. “You wanna see me all alone.” Fans note this could reference Travis calling her out on his “New Heights” podcast for missing a meet-up during her Eras Tour, which sparked their romance.
Taylor’s lyrics continue, “I swore loyalty to me, myself and I / Right before you lit my sky up,” highlighting her independence before meeting Travis. Fresh off a breakup from Matty Healy in July 2023, Taylor met Travis when he attended her Kansas City concert that same month, and sparks flew immediately.
immediately, Travis is even in on the Easter egg game, teasing lyrics from “The Fate of Ophelia” on Instagram back in July: “Had some adventures this offseason,” he captioned pics with Taylor, adding, “Kept it [100].” The connection to the song is clear: “You dug me out of my grave and saved my heart from the fate of Ophelia / Keep it one hundred.”
