A massive cloudburst in Uttarakhand’s Dharali village triggered flash floods leading to massive destruction. Houses, shops, cars and people got swept away by sudden surge of boulders, debris and mud that came gushing down in a violent stream following the cloudburst. Several videos and pictures from the horrifying incident are doing the rounds of social media. Rescue operation is underway as several are feared to be trapped and missing. Many are expressing concern over the tragedy. Some of the leading Bollywood stars too have reacted through social media. Stars like Vivek Oberoi, Urvashi Rautela, Bhumi Pednekar, Sara Ali Khan and more took to social media to comment on Uttarakhand cloudburst.
Celebrities react to cloudburst and flash floods in Uttarakhand
Sonu Sood took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to pen that he is heartbroken by the devastating tragedy and is praying for everyone who is affected. He also mentioned that it is time for the nation to come together. Vivek Oberoi too made a post on social media saying that he is shocked and saddened by the news of cloudburst. He hoped that the rescue and relief efforts will bring safety to those affected. Sara Ali Khan who has always shown her love for the beauty of Uttarkashi took to social media to write, “My heart goes out to everyone impacted by the incident in Uttarakhand. Praying for safety, strength and healing for all.” She also shared the helpline numbers issued by the Government for the rescue operation. Bhumi Pednekar too stated that the tragedy is ‘heartbreaking’.

As per the reports, 4 have lost their lives and 50 are said to be missing after the cloud burst. Among many Prime Minister Narendra Modi too expressed condolences to those affected by the tragedy. In a social media post, he wrote that he is praying for the well-being of all those affected. Union Minister Amit Shah too expressed grief over the tragedy.
