Describing the project as “raw emotion,” Wale revealed he’s tapping into the pain, pressure, and personal challenges he’s faced over the past few years. “It just came from here for real,” he said, pointing to his heart.
One of the most striking moments came as he reflected on the loss of a young rapper named Rax, whose voice closed out Wale’s last album, “Folarin II.”
“He got killed maybe two, three months after the album,” Wale shared. The tragedy left a lasting impact, triggering reflections on everything from grief and gun violence to the mental toll of trying to support the next generation.
Beyond the headlines, Wale’s also wrestling with the everyday realities of fatherhood and navigating life between coasts.
“Mix that in with my personal life and co-parenting and my own family life,” he said. “That’s best way I can describe it for real.”
Slated to release on November 14, 2025, this project won’t just be beat—it’ll be a moment.
