Wendy Williams was spotted enjoying a night out in New York City just days after new reports surfaced about her health struggles. The 61-year-old former talk show host was photographed arriving at Tucci restaurant on Saturday alongside her friend, restaurateur Max Tucci. Dressed in a beige button-down, snakeskin belt, and carrying a straw handbag, Williams accessorized her look with a pink lip and her signature “W” necklace.
Despite recent reports confirming she has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia, Williams appeared upbeat and told Page Six her legal team is pushing back on the narrative.
“My attorneys are highly upset,” she said outside the restaurant. She also directly addressed her ongoing conservatorship battle, declaring, “I will get out of [my] guardianship.”
Williams has been under guardianship since 2022, when a New York judge made the ruling after Wells Fargo flagged concerns about her finances. The host has been vocal about her disapproval of the arrangement, previously calling the assisted living facility she resides in a “prison.” She has also stated she does not get along with her court-appointed guardian, Sabrina Morrissey.
Her ex-husband, Kevin Hunter, has publicly supported her fight and even filed a $250 million lawsuit in June against Morrissey on behalf of their son, Kevin Jr. Meanwhile, fans have rallied around Williams, organizing protests and calling for her freedom.
Though her health remains at the center of legal disputes, Williams projected optimism Saturday night, making it clear she has no plans of giving up her fight.
