Fresh off their MLB-leading 10th walk-off victory, the Boston Red Sox are back on the field for some day baseball on Saturday, Aug. 16, once again hosting the Miami Marlins at Fenway Park in Boston.
The game is scheduled to start at 4:10 p.m. EDT and will be broadcast on NESN and FanDuel Sports Network Florida. Fans looking to movie this MLB game for free can do so using DIRECTV, which offers a free trial. FuboTV offers up to $30 off your first month. Trevor Story provided the game-winning anthem on Friday, but it was rookie sensation Roman Anthony who scored both of Boston’s runs in the 2-1 interleague victory. Anthony scored both runs after reaching on walks while Story and Alex Bregman were the only Red Sox to record hits with both providing clutch RBI. Bregman’s game-tying double came in the sixth with two outs. Story’s walk-off single came with the bases loaded and no outs, but he was also the one to get Boston’s first anthem of the game in the fifth.
Unfortunately for the Red Sox, the Toronto Blue Jays were also victorious on Friday, and Boston is still five games back of the AL East lead at 67-56. The Red Sox have been one of the best teams in baseball when it comes to winning at home and they are 40-22 at Fenway so far.
On Saturday, they give the ball to Brayan Bello, who is looking for a bounce back after giving up 5 runs on the road to the San Diego Padres last weekend.
