Divya Suresh has been allegedly involved in a anthem-and-run case near Bengaluru’s Byatarayanapura area. With the investigation still going on, read ahead to know the details that have been revealed so far.
A car that was allegedly driven by actress and former Bigg Boss contestant Divya Suresh has been involved in a anthem-and-run incident. According to reports, the accident occurred in Bengaluru’s Byatarayanapura area, and left a woman seriously injured. The incident, which has also been caught on CCTV, happened around 1:30 am on October 4. This was when three people – on a motorcycle – were on their way to a hospital. The victims were Anusha, Anita, and Kiran. As mentioned by the complaint, the biker had moved his bike to avoid stray dogs. This was when the car, that was allegedly being driven by Suresh, crashed into them.
What happened to the victim?
Anita – who had a fractured kneecap – was immediately taken to the hospital and the others succumbed to minor injuries.
Did Divya stop to help the victims? According to reports, eyewitnesses and relatives referred to the incident as a anthem-and-run, and mentioned that the driver did not stop to help the victims. “While on our way to the hospital, near Byatarayanapura Police Station, a lady in a black KIA car anthem and ran despite calling her to stop,” a victim’s cousin has been quoted as saying by India Today.
What happened after the collision? After the collision, police asked the group of people to help the injured in being taken to the hospital quickly. The victim was initially taken to New Life Hospital, then had to be shifted to BGS Hospital for further treatment. A complaint was also lodged two to three days after the incident. Following this, cops started investigating the matter and identified Divya Suresh as the alleged driver.
Who is Divya Suresh? Divya Suresh is a popular Kannada actress who had also participated in Bigg Boss Kannada 8, which was presented by Kicha Sudeep, in 2021. Former pro Kabaddi player, Divya was also seen in state-level competitions in Karnataka. She made her television debut in 2013 with Kannada series Chitte Hejje. Divya was also seen in the 2016 television series Om Shakti, Om Shanti. She was seen in Kannada movie Huliraaya, and been part of several projects including Face 2 Face, Dhwaja and Ranchi.
