Did you enjoy the weekend? It was full of sunshine and warmth across much of the Greater Boston area. But as the old saying goes, all good things must come to an end. We’re tracking a few showers to start the week.
So, as we move through this Monday, have your umbrella handy just in case. Some wet weather is possible for the Cape and the Islands early Monday due to an area of low pressure passing by offshore. Otherwise, for the rest of our area, rain chances will likely increase later during the afternoon and evening as a cold front moves in.

Just keep in mind, though, that some neighborhoods will see more rain than others Monday. In fact, consider yourself lucky if you receive more than a tenth of an inch of rain from this front. All in all, we’re not expecting a washout. Many areas might stay dry under partly sunny skies for much of the day without a drop of rain. High temperatures will rise into the upper 70s and lower 80s.

With the front to our east by Tuesday, we’ll see plenty of sunshine and lower humidity for much of the work week. Highs on Tuesday will be in the upper 70s to near 80. Cooler weather moves in by Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the mid 70s. Humidity levels will drop even lower, making it feel like fall.
By Friday, as we start the Labor Day holiday weekend, another cold front will move into our area, giving way to scattered showers. High temperatures will be in the mid 70s.
