A comedy-drama of love, marriage and unexpected twists

Single Salma makers have finally unveiled the trailer of the upcoming comedy-drama starring Huma Qureshi, Shreyas Talpade, and Sunny Singh. Directed by Nachiket Samant, the film is written by Amina Khan and Ravi Kumar, with dialogues written by Mudassar Aziz. Produced by Alok Jain, Ajit Andhare, Saqib Saleem, Elemen3 Entertainment, Lalaland Entertainment, and Firuzi Khan. The movie revolves around a 33-year-old Salma Rizvi (Huma Qureshi) who finally wants to settle down. She ends up in an arranged marriage setup with Sikandar (Shreyas Talpade), but life takes an unexpected turn when she meets Meet in London (Sunny Singh) and ends up falling in love with him. The movie is releasing on October 31, 2025.

The trailer shows that the movie is filled with laugh-out-loud clashes of two cities, two cultures, and two grooms all in one unforgettable wedding night.

Unexpected entry

In the trailer, the person who caught everyone’s eye was Lauren Gottlieb, an American dancer and actress. She is well known in the Indian film industry, especially for her role in ABCD: Any Body Can Dance and its sequel, ABCD 2. Her role in this movie is still a mystery, but she is entering Bollywood after almost a 10-year break.

What has Huma Qureshi been busy with?

Huma Qureshi was recently seen with Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi in Jolly LLB 3. Her thriller movie ‘Bayaan’ was showcased at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival. She is ready to appear in the fourth season of the political thriller series Maharani, as well as the neo-noir thriller Baby Do Die Do.
