Akon and wife Tomeka Thiam are ending their marriage.
On Friday (September 12), it was revealed that Tomeka filed for divorce from the 52-year-old “Lonely” rapper just days before their 29th wedding anniversary, which is on September 15.

Tomeka is seeking joint legal custody of their 17-year-old daughter, but wants sole physical custody of her.
She is also reportedly seeking spousal support and is asking to block the court’s ability to award any spousal support to Akon.
If you were unaware, Akon is reportedly married to multiple woman, four to be exact, and is said to have a total of nine children, according to Hot New Hip Hop.
Tomeka did not address the reported other wives in her divorce filing.
Back in 2020, Akon revealed plans to build a “real-life Wakanda” in Africa.
