The rumors started when the High School Musical alum and The Vampire Diaries actress were spotted looking cozy together in photos that surfaced online. But a source is clearing up those rumors.

An insider told Us Weekly that Nina and Zac aren’t dating and “have been good friends for over a decade.”
“Their friends always joke that they should date, but that is not what is going on. They have been there for each other through many phases of life and have always had each other’s back,” the source further explained.
Nina has been in the headlines quite a bit lately because of her recent breakup from fiancé Shaun White.
With the engagement off, a newly single Nina has been seen hanging out with her friends on a yacht vacation off the coast of Italy. Zac was among the celebrities in the group, also including Miles Teller and his wife Keleigh, Chace Crawford and his girlfriend Kelsey Merritt, and more.
The Us Weekly source says Nina has “felt a lot of love and support” from “her family and friends recently,” as she leans on them for support.
“Everyone has been lifting her spirits and she has been in a better place after taking some time away following her split from Shaun,” they concluded.
