According to these claims, the Darbar family paid the exit fee after hearing rumours that Awez’s ex-girlfriend, Shubhi Joshi, might join the show as a wildcard contestant.
Avoiding Personal Drama
The family reportedly wanted to protect Awez from unwanted drama, especially since his personal life has already been in the spotlight. Recently, singer Amaal Mallik and actor Baseer Ali alleged that Awez had texted multiple girls in the past. Adding to the buzz, Shubhi Joshi confirmed in an interview that she and Awez were once in a relationship, which fueled speculation about him cheating on longtime partner Nagma Mirajkar.
Gauahar’s Involvement
After her segment in the show, Gauahar Khan reportedly checked with the makers about Shubhi’s possible entry but did not get any clear response. Concerned about the situation, Awez’s family chose to pull him out of the competition by paying the fee.
