Blackstock and Jones had never confirmed their relationship, however The US Sun reported in December 2024 the pair were running Valley View Rodeo together in Montana.
The talent manager’s obituary is the first time the couple’s relationship has been confirmed, revealing they were living together in Montanna.
”After more than 20 years in the track business, Brandon found his way back to the mountains and the cowboy way of life he always wanted to live,” the obituary read.

“He found a homestead and a love in Butte, Montana.
“Brandon, along with his beautiful and loving partner in life and business, Brittney Marie Jones, started building a life, building companies, and working tirelessly to create Headwaters Livestock Auction and what will live on as his legacy, The Valley View Rodeo in Bozeman, Montana.”
Jones’ role under Clarkson was working closely with both the singer and her husband at the time in his role as Clarkson’s manager.
Following Blackstock’s death, a source told People the divorce has been “incredibly difficult” for Clarkson.
The separation played out in courts due to the couple’s complicated relationship as both husband and wife, and talent and manager, with the couple also fighting over custody of their two children, daughter River Rose, 11, and son Remington ‘Remy’ Alexander, nine.

However, despite the difficult situation, the source added Clarkson always wanted the kids to have a good relationship with their dad, saying she “never spoke poorly” about Blackstock in front of them.
”When she found out that he was sick, she remained protective of him for their sake,” the source told People.
“Kelly has always tried to keep things classy. It became clear earlier this year that Brandon was not doing well. She’s been devastated for the kids.”
