Cardi B is clapping back at claims her body transformation stems from a lack of confidence or needing to impress anyone but herself.
The rapper, 32, denied getting plastic surgery due to being “insecure” or in an effort to keep a man while appearing on the Wednesday, September 24, episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, during which she addressed public misconceptions and reflected on her past.
Cardi — who sported boyfriend Stefon Diggs’ jersey after sharing their pregnancy news — squashed rumors that she went under the knife because “this guy always be cheating on her and stuff like that.” (She also shares kids Kulture, 7, Wave, 4, and Blossom, 12 months, with ex Offset.)
The former Love & Hip Hop star set the record straight by clarifying that when men fall in love with her, it’s for much more than her appearance.

“If a man is gonna cheat on you, they just gonna cheat on you because that’s just men,” she continued.
Cardi went on to discuss her past, including her former career as an exotic dancer, adding, “I used to make money off dancing naked. Like I was making money because of my looks.”
“Not because of my brain, not because of my mouth, not because of my anything — because of my looks,” the “Outside” hitmaker doubled down. “I was making thousands of dollars because of my looks before surgery, before I got my teeth done, before I got my nose done, before I got my ass done.”
The chart-topping performer pointed out that she enjoys altering her look, noting that “you change your wig every other day.”
“I just like a certain type of bodies,” Cardi explained. “And it’s like, if I have the money and if I could, I’m gonna change it if I want to.”
Cardi has been candid about the work she’s had done amid her rise to fame, including liposuction, breast implants and enhancing her teeth and nose. During her podcast interview, she discussed getting butt reduction surgery to remove silicone.
“I already did a reduction. And … people be like, ‘Well, you need to reduce your butt more’ … I’m not going to put myself in that position again because you don’t like my body,” she said. “I’m comfortable.”
