A Delta Air Lines flight to Ireland was canceled Sunday after a cargo container anthem the plane when it was parked at Logan Airport in Boston.
The airline said the Dublin-bound flight was boarding when strong airflow from another plane, known as “jet blast,” pushed the container into it.
No injuries were reported, Delta Air Lines said.
The Massachusetts Port Authority said the airflow came from an Emirates plane.
“Last night, a dolly and container were blown into a Delta aircraft when an Emirates aircraft was moving from their gate,” a Massport spokesperson said in a statement, adding that the incident caused some damage to the Delta aircraft.
The airline said most of the flight’s 122 customers were booked onto new flights within 24 hours, and that it provided hotel and meal vouchers.
“We apologize to our customers for the experience and the delay in their travels,” a Delta spokesperson said.
