The right-wing activist and Turning Point USA founder’s memorial is happening Sunday (September 21) at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., following his death at the age of 31 earlier this month after being shot in the middle of public debate at Utah Valley University.

The New York Times reports that authorities confirmed the event is already at capacity, and it is categorized as a SEAR Level 1 event per TMZ, meaning the highest level of national security.
“This designation is reserved for events of the highest national significance and enables the federal government to provide the full range of law enforcement and security resources necessary to support local officials in ensuring a safe and successful event,” a DHS Senior Official told the outlet.
Other SEAR 1 events include the Super Bowl, major marathons like the Boston Marathon, as well as the Rose Bowl, per the government.
There is also an overflow venue nearby to “accommodate the tens of thousands of people in attendance exceeding the original 100,000 estimate,” per TMZ‘s report.
“The U.S. Secret Service has been designated as the Federal Coordinator for this effort. Our teams are already on the ground in Phoenix and Glendale, working side-by-side with state, local, and federal partners. Together, we are fully committed to ensuring that these solemn events receive the comprehensive protection and support they require,” a special agent told the outlet.
