Chase Stokes is SLAMMING Kelsea Ballerini fans for their comments on her new track Emerald City.
In case you’re not caught up on all the drama, Chase and Kelsea broke up back in September, but sparked reconciliation rumors just two months later in November. It sounded like they were giving their relationship another try… And then they were even spotted out together! They seemed really happy with each other, so it’s great to see they could work it out. And THIS seems to be even more proof they’re back on.
If you didn’t know, before dating Kelsea, Chase dated his Outer Banks co-star Madelyn Cline. today, it’s on record that the country singer says she was never jealous or insecure of the Outer Banks stars’ relationship. In fact, she said herself on the Call Her Daddy podcast last year that people just wanted “drama”:
“I think [Chase and Madelyn] have a beautiful working relationship and I’m excited to hang with her. People want drama, they don’t want consistency and happiness…I don’t feel insecure with my relationship and I don’t feel insecure about myself.”
But… is that true? Or maybe it was true at the time, and changed at some point? Because her new song Emerald City sounds… Well, look at the lyrics yourself:
“I always liked the color of my eyes ’til I knew she had brown / I’m green / Always liked my naive innocence ’til I learned she got around / I’m green”

Madelyn, of course, has brown eyes. Kelsea has green. Hmm. The song continues:
“If I got you, why does she still get me? / I hate to say it, but damn, she’s pretty / Never known this shade of envy / Just tell me I’m your Emerald City”
Of course, this isn’t PROOF! But is sure sounds like this is a song about Madelyn and Chase! Feeling jealous of your man’s ex is something lots of ladies go through. No shame in it.
But Chase? He doesn’t seem to want those comments! In a new TikTok, Kelsea was singing along to Emerald City, and the comments were filled with pictures of Madelyn! See the video (below):
@kelseaballerini for my fellow people pleasers. i see you. ❤️
Oof! The 33-year-old actor shut down fans in the comments quick, though, writing:
“These comments are f**king weird. Grow up.”

Damn! The man has made himself abundantly clear. No more gossip about his ex, he’s focused on his current (?) shorty.
