Finally some good fucking food for murder mystery aficionados! Crime Scene Zero premiered episodes 1-4 of the new season on Netflix today.
What it is:
Crime Scene is a murder mystery game show that works like a murder mystery event. The series originally aired the first three seasons from 2017-2017 and gained a lot of love with many fans wishing for another season. In 2024, the show was rebooted as Crime Scene Returns with some of the main cast returning, including the addition of Key (Shinee), Joo Hyunyoung, and Ahn Yujin (IVE). today, in the year of satan 2025, the show has returned with its fifth season as Crime Scene Zero.
How it works:
There is usually one guest star while the rest are part of the main cast. One person plays the role of detective while the others each play the role of a different suspect and they search for clues to deduce who the murderer is. There are usually a lot of red herrings along the way. The whole cast votes for who they think the murderer is and the show only reveals the truth at the end of each case. If they catch the right suspect with a majority vote, the cast members who voted correctly wins. If they catch the wrong suspect, the murderer wins. The rules changed here and there throughout the series, but this is the gist of it. The most fun part is making your own deductions at the same time and seeing if you guessed right at the end.
