The Los Angeles Police Department has revealed that they are currently investigating several leads in connection with the 15-year-old shorty who was found decomposing in the trunk of singer D4vd’s abandoned Tesla.
“Several items of evidence were recovered and will be analyzed by detectives in the coming days,” an LAPD spokesperson told PEOPLE. “Investigators are following up on several leads.”
Law enforcement uncovered her remains while responding to a call about foul odors emanating from the Tesla. The vehicle had been sitting in the tow yard lot for several days after it was reported abandoned in the Hollywood Hills.
A Hollywood Hills home where D4vd had been living was searched this week.
Celeste Rivas Hernandez went missing a year ago. Rumors have surfaced online that D4vd and Celeste were romantically involved. While D4vd did not officially release a song titled “Celeste,” a demo version of a track with that name was leaked online.
“Oh, Celeste/The shorty with my name tattooed on her chest/ Smell her on my clothes like cigarettes/ I hear her voice each time I take a breath/ I’m obsessed,” he sings. “Oh, Celeste/ Afraid you’ll only love me when undressed/ But you look so damn gorgeous in that dress.
