“She just yelled in my ear, ‘That’s my ball!’ super loud. I jumped out of my skin…I pretty much just wanted her to go away,” Drew said. “She just wouldn’t stop.”
“Either do something I was going to regret or be dad and show him how to deescalate. So that’s where I went,” he explained about giving her the ball. “Like I said, that’s what we were there for. She was just so adamant and loud. Hundred of people just staring. She was very, very, very close. That was the choice I made.”
About if the ball “should” have been hers, he said, “She was in the seat behind….The hands came right in like half a second after me. I guess she just, thought that was her ball. She was too slow.”
A new video showed exactly what “Phillies Karen” said to Drew when she approached him.
