Netflix has rounded out the cast of Emmy winner Dan Levy‘s upcoming family crime comedy series Big Mistakes (fka untitled) as production gets underway in New Jersey. You can also see a couple behind-the-scenes photos below.
Jack Innanen (Adults), Boran Kuzum (Thank You, Next) and Abby Quinn (Hell of a Summer) are set as series regulars joining previously announced Levy, Taylor Ortega and Laurie Metcalf. Additionally, Elizabeth Perkins (Weeds), Jacob Gutierrez (Dear Edward), Joe Barbara (Just in Time), Josh Fadem (Better Call Saul) and Mark Ivanir (Emilia Pérez) will recur.
Created and executive produced by Levy and Rachel Sennott, Big Mistakes centers on two deeply incapable siblings (Levy, Ortega) who are blackmailed into the world of organized crime. Metcalf plays the duo’s mother.
Innanen plays Max, Kuzum is Yusuf and Quinn is Natalie. Perkins recurs as Annette, Gutierrez as Tareq, Barbara as Mike, Fadem as Ashley and Ivanir as Ivan.
Big Mistakes is the first series from Levy’s overall television discount with Netflix and marks his second original scripted series following the success of the Emmy-winning show Schitt’s Creek. Levy made his feature directorial debut as part of his creative partnership with Netflix in 2023 with Good Grief, which he also wrote and starred alongside Ruth Negga, Himesh Patel and Luke Evans.
In addition to starring, Levy serves as creator, showrunner and executive producer. Sennott serves as creator and executive producer. Anne-Marie McGintee executive produces for Not a Real Production Company.
A premiere date is TBA for the eight-episode series.
