These two inseparable artists from NYC forever stand for authentic video collaborations. Being on social media, heavy, aggressive, and confrontational, this track has a classy beat video. Louis Tittle said about the video: “Uncut realness from NYC’s east side, the video for the street anthem from East alongside Harrdluck is beautiful art.”

A clip was shared from East’s profile, tagging @harrdluck as well as the video director @watcheverything777. The caption reads, all in capital letters: “ON MY SOUL!!! Yo @harrdluck THIS A CLASSIC WHAT WE DOINNNN.” The video was beautifully edited with a gritty feel, one that was apt for the track’s dark vibration.
The lyric constitutes a raw, stark flow, shedding all such masks to directly talk about disloyalty; hypocrisy. So much for being respectful: “You a pussy, you ain’t shit without that pole,” and, “You get caught up, you gon’ snitch” address situations wherein a genuine streetman points to those who don’t even deserve respect. The repetitive hook “On my soul” becomes a battle cry where an oath is spoken to stand true to the words.
The post soon became flooded with compliments both from the fans and fellow artists. It was mostly the production that got applauded, somebody said the edit was “dope,” another one shouted, “Lyrics and graphics go craazzzyyy.” Thus, the comment section soon became a place to congratulate this collaboration on its achievement.
An interesting comment came up from a fan who was thankful to the videographer: “The shooter getting the love too. Love to see it.” This indeed speaks of a trend growing in the beat industry and community of creatives where directors and other behind-the-scene artisans are increasingly being credited by the artists.
One user commented that this is an “anthem to B A N!!” – which most probably is short for “Bitch Ass Niggas,” the prime target of the song’s lyrics. This comment shows that the message of the song gets picked up instantaneously, with listeners coming up with their own inroads into its themes.

The release comes having had everything from the streets narrated by Dave East. His collaborations pull together artists with that same earnest take on hip hop. This song with Harrdluck is firmly rooted in that longtime tradition but hits the fanbase hard-well received with open arms. With so much good energy coming forth and so much outpouring of support, the track seems to have already embarked on a path toward being an all-time favorite for the fans.
