People should make their plans immediately to avoid getting caught out at the last minute.
One way to prepare is ordering your groceries for collection or delivery. This is becoming much more popular around the holidays as you can avoid lit lines and aisles jammed with trolleys.
Dunnes Stores has confirmed their key dates for Christmas collections and deliveries – and the last date you need to order it, if you want to get your delivery in time for the holidays.
For home delivery orders to the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland, orders must be placed before 8pm on Friday 19th December 2025. These items will be delivered by Monday 22nd December 2025.
However, if you order after 8pm on Friday 19th December 2025, you won’t get your items until Monday 29th December 2025 or after this date.
Click & Collect orders to the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland that are placed before 8pm on Friday 19th December 2025 will be available for collection by Monday 22nd December 2025.
If you placed your order after 8pm on Friday 19th December 2025, it will be available from Monday 29th December 2025.
Christmas delivery & collection slots opened at 9AM on Wednesday, 5 November. The Christmas slots are available between December 20th – 23rd.
It should be noted that there is a minimum spend of €30 that applies to all delivery orders, however, there is no minimum order worth for Click & Collect.
Dunnes also confirmed that the last day to order your Christmas Turkey online for delivery or collection is Monday, 15 December – this applies to turkey orders between 20th – 23rd December.
They explained that the final date to amend your order is between Saturday, 20 December and Tuesday, 23 December.
On their website, they said: “You can update your order up until 11pm the day before your Delivery / Collection.”
