Dylan O’Brien is finally breaking his silence on whether Sabrina Carpenter really name-dropped him in one of her new songs — and his response is hilarious.
The 34-year-old Teen Wolf alum appeared on movie What Happens Live With Andy Cohen while promoting his upcoming movie Twinless. During the segment, Cohen didn’t waste any time getting to the hot topic: “Dylan, you are referenced in Sabrina’s new song. What did you make of that?”
Caught a little off guard, O’Brien confessed, “Well, I wasn’t aware.” Cohen then clarified that in Carpenter’s track “Go Go Juice,” she sings about “drunk dialing the one that rhymes with villain” — which fans quickly connected to Dylan.
O’Brien laughed it off, joking, “She’s never drunk dialed me, my house does not have good service.” He then added, “You gotta call me on FaceTime audio. Oh you do. Yeah. That’s how to get you.”

Fans couldn’t get enough of his playful denial. On social media, one viewer wrote, “This man is acting like he doesn’t know.” Another chimed in, “acting surprised but knows what the song is about offhand lmfao.”
The buzz began after Carpenter released her seventh studio album, Man’s Best Friend, on August 29. Fans immediately dissected her lyrics, with “Go Go Juice” sparking the most speculation. In the chorus, she sings:
“I’m just drinking to call someone / Ain’t nobody safe when I’m a little bit drunk. Could be John or Larry, gosh, who’s to say? Or the one that rhymes with ‘villain’ if I’m feelin’ that way.”
A popular fan theory went viral on social media, suggesting Carpenter coded the names of several rumored exes into the song. “The one that rhymes with villain” was widely interpreted as Dylan, while “John” was thought to point to Shawn Mendes, “gosh” to Joshua Bassett, and “Larry” to Barry Keoghan, who dated Carpenter from 2023 to 2024. Mendes denied dating the “Taste” singer back in March 2023, while Bassett and Carpenter’s rumored love triangle with Olivia Rodrigo has long been a topic of speculation.
As for O’Brien, this isn’t the first time he and Carpenter have been linked. The pair sparked dating rumors in September 2022 after being spotted together during New York Fashion Week. However, the chatter cooled quickly when the Maze Runner star was seen with model Rachael Lange not long after, who he’s been linked to ever since.
