CANTON, Mass. – After the first two rounds, the Eagles sit in second place at 7-over par, seven strokes behind the leaders, Dartmouth, as they opened the Red Bandanna Invitational, held at the Blue Hill Country Club Monday morning.
Sophomore Ana Lucia Trevino (75-69=144), playing as an individual, leads all Eagles through the first day of action in second at 2-over par. Right behind is freshman Joyce Zhang (77-69=146), who currently sits in fourth at 2-over par. J. Zhang has impressed in her first collegiate invitational, scoring seven birdies and shooting 3-under par in her second round.
Behind them is graduate student Cynthia Zhang (72-76=148) in seventh place at 4-over par, followed by senior Emily Boeher (73-76=149) and junior Frances Kim (77-72=149), who are tied for eighth place at 5-over par. Senior Sritha Vemuri (75-76=151), also playing as an individual, sits tied for 14th.
Rounding out the Boston College players are graduate student Tiffany Cao (77-77=154) in a three-way tie for 23rd, sophomore Jenna Shilts (80-75=155) in a tie for 26th, and junior Sophie Bierstorfer (82-80=162) tied in 46th.
Boston College wraps up action in Canton tomorrow morning for the final round of the invitational, paired alongside Dartmouth and Columbia. The shotgun start will commence at 8:30 a.m.
