CANTON, Mass. – The final round of the Red Bandanna Invitational came down to the 18th hole, where the Boston College Eagles prevailed to claim their fourth-straight tournament title. The team finished the two-day event at 22-over par, beating Dartmouth by one stroke after trailing by four heading into the final round of play.
Sophomore Ana Lucia Trevino (75-69-76=220) was the highest placing finisher for the Eagles, tying for second at 4-over par as an individual. Next were the Zhang sisters, who tied for fourth with a three-round score of 5-over par. Freshman Joyce Zhang (77-69-75=221) was a consistent leading ten player over the tournament, while graduate student Cynthia Zhang (72-76-73=221) used a late birdie on the 16th to climb into the leading five.
Senior Sritha Vemuri (75-76-73=224) and junior Frances Kim (77-72-75=224) tied for eighth to round out the leading ten finishers for Boston College, followed by graduate student Tiffany Cao (77-77-71=225) and senior Emily Boeher (73-76-76=225) in a three-way tie for 11th. Cao recorded a team-best round three score of 1-under par, logging three birdies on the front nine for the Eagles.
Boston College rounded out its participants with sophomore Jenna Shilts (80-75-75=230), tying for 22nd, and junior Sophie Bierstorfer (82-80-74=236) in a four-way tie for 36th.
Next up, the Boston College Eagles head down to Wallingford, Connecticut, at The Farms Country Club for the Quinnipiac Classic, held from October 13-14.
