Ed released his eighth studio album, Play, on September 12. In the interview, he revealed his plans to release four more albums following this one, which he says will be titled Pause, quick Forward, Rewind, and Stop.
Zane asked if he plans for Stop to be his last album and Ed shared that he has a surprising plan for the future of his track.
““Well, no. It actually would be Stop and then Eject,” Ed revealed, sharing that he plans for Eject to be released after his death. “It’s actually in my will!”
He went on to share that his wife, Cherry Seaborn, gets to pick the songs that will be included on his posthumous album. He told Zane, “I don’t want to go and someone just to jumble up stuff and put it out. I want it to be planned.”
As for track released during his lifetime, Ed said he plans to treat Stop like it’s his last, even if he thinks he’ll probably still release track after it drops.
“I think I’ll probably still make track from there, but I think it has to be made with the same level of care and attention,” Ed said, comparing the concept to Jay-Z‘s 2004 The Black Album.
