Elon Musk‘s father Errol, 79, is being accused of child sexual abuse.
The elder Musk has apparently been married several times and is said to have 9 children/step-kis. He is also said to have kids with one of his step-children, Jana. He was married to ex wife Heide Bezuidenhout from 1992–2004 and Elon‘s mom Maye Musk from 1970–1979.
A new report by the New York Times has been published, and they are breaking down the claims.

The report states, “The allegations against Errol Musk involve five of his children and stepchildren, whom he was accused of abusing in South Africa and California, according to police and court records, personal correspondence, social workers and interviews with family members.”
The Times added that Elon Musk has allegedly been contacted in the past by relatives and “he has sometimes taken action to intercede.”
In 2010, a note was allegedly sent to Elon, which the Times says read: “We really need your advice, help and guidance in these matters because we daily see these children suffer.” It’s unclear if he read this note.
The first allegation stems from 1993, when the child allegedly “told relatives he had touched her at the family house. A decade later, the stepdaughter said she caught him sniffing her dirty underwear.” The most recent allegation stems from 2023 when his son, aged 5 at the time, “said his father had groped his buttocks.”
They say that three police investigations have been opened, but he’s never been convicted.
He did respond to the allegations in the Times‘ article, saying, “the reports are false and nonsense in the extreme.” He claims some members of the family have been “putting the children up to say false things” in order to get money from Elon, who he claims he is “very close” with.
