Pete confides in Doug that he’s worried Dolores wants to go through with the divorce on Thursday night’s Fair City.
Doug reminds him they’ve been getting along well lately.
Dolores tells Orla she’s had a change of heart, and she wants to call off the divorce, noting that there was a reason she and Pete got married in the first place.
Dolores shows Orla a letter and the divorce papers, explaining that she plans to ask Pete to ceremoniously burn them together.
Dolores accidentally leaves the letter behind at the Helping Hand. Jacinta finds it and hands it to Pete, who misreads the message as Dolores reaffirming her decision to divorce.
Dolores is blindsided when Pete tells her he agrees with her choice to end the marriage.
Elsewhere in Carrigstown, Kira puts Mondo under house arrest, reminding him of the solicitor’s advice to keep a low profile.
Mondo insists they need the CCTV footage to prove he’s not at fault for Anto’s death, while Juliet reassures him the solicitors are chasing it.
Frustrated, Mondo heads to the Station himself. Mondo feels judged when Alex tries to calm him.
Melanie and Alex worry he’s unravelling.
Mondo demands that Carol shows him the CCTV footage.
Holly is annoyed when Juliet is sent to cover for Mondo at Comet. She warns Mondo a reporter called the office asking about him.
Mondo panics about what the reporter might publish and tries to contact him.
Ray and Nora clash over Anto’s death. Nora admits she believes both men wanted to hurt each other and urges Ray to speak to his son.
Plus, Lorcan is disgruntled when he walks in on JJ in his underwear in the kitchen.
Carol warns the two of them not to squabble.
In a jovial attempt to broker peace, JJ buys himself and Lorcan matching dressing gowns.
When Steo notices the encounter, he feels put down when JJ dismisses his attempt to be friendly.
