Telfair, 40, is among nearly 2 dozen former NBA players indicted on conspiracy to commit health care fraud and wire fraud charges in 2021.
He was sentenced to community service but he didn’t bother to show up, which violated his probation.

On Monday, Telfair spoke with a TMZ reporter as he turned himself in. He pleaded with President Donald Trump to pardon him because he’s too valuable to sit in prison.
“I did too good to be sitting in anybody’s jail,” he said.
