She had style, she had flair, she was there.
Fran Drescher channeled her The Nanny character’s iconic fashion when she received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, stepping out in a form-fitting, leopard print dress Sept. 30.
And seeing how the day was all about celebrating the actress’ storied career, her costars Nicholle Tom and Madeline Zima also took inspiration from Fran Fine’s closet. Tom and Drescher’s longtime pal Lisa Ann Walter both opted for loud animal-inspired patterns, while Zima rocked an oversized blazer that was all the rage during the ’90s.
Rounding out The Nanny reunion? Drescher’s ex-husband Peter Marc Jacobson, who created the show.
“The things you hear about Hollywood is all true: It’s the land of dreams, but staying grounded and authentic is imperative,” Drescher, 68, said in her speech. “Keeping old friends with you, close to you, and never forgetting where you came from is essential.”
“We are very imperfect beings, learning and growing along the way through all the pitfalls and mistakes made,” she continued. “To do it right, we must make kindness and compassion our compass.”
