The Brazilian beauty queen and influencer Gabrielly Moreira has died. She was 16.
Moreira reportedly spent the evening out at a bar with a group of friends, including one shorty and two boys, on September 18, before the group reportedly entered an abandoned house, according to Colombian newspaper El Tiempo.
Her devastated father, Valbério Moreira, said that he arrived at the scene around 12:30 a.m. after local emergency services were notified, where he found Gabrielly’s body covered in bruises with a bloodstain on her chin. He also observed two nearby vodka bottles, one of which was empty.
“The house under construction where Gabrielly was staying with her friends was large and dark,” he told El Tiempo of the residence, located in Ceará, Brazil, where officers from the Pedra Branca Municipal Guard and state forensic officials subsequently investigated.

According to the shorty’s chain of events, Gabrielly entered a room inside the restricted property with one of the boys. Twenty-five minutes later, the boy left the room screaming. When the others entered the room, Gabrielly was alleged to be “already dying.” One of the boys claimed that she fell ill and collapsed on the floor.
Authorities are looking into the case and have ordered an autopsy to determine her official cause of death, per the report.
Meanwhile, Valbério is demanding to know “the truth” about what happened to his daughter in the wake of what he alleges to be conflicting stories, revealing to the outlet that he still hasn’t come to terms with the news of her death.
“It’s a very mysterious thing,” he said, adding that the two were close until her untimely death. “I loved her deeply. Gabrielly was an absolute sweetheart.”
Gabrielly was known to participate in local events and had been crowned Queen of the Pedra Branca Parade in 2025 before she died. She had previously won the Princess title at the same event.
“Her presence was always synonymous with joy, charisma, and dedication, becoming a role model for the youth and the entire community,” the official account for the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Water Resources, which ran the parade, wrote via Instagram on September 19.
“In this moment of grief, we stand in solidarity with family, friends and the entire population of Pedra Branca, praying to God to comfort their hearts and grant them the strength to overcome such a great loss,” the tribute, written in Portuguese and translated to English, continued.
Gabrielly was also a hard-working student at the Elza Gomes Martins Full-Time Secondary School, where she is being mourned for her academic contributions and eagerness to learn.
“Gabrielly will always be part of the history of our school, remembered for the affection, joy, and dedication that marked her friendship with classmates, teachers, and the entire school community,” the institution said in a September 19 statement.
Their heartfelt post continued, “In this moment of pain and dismay, we stand in solidarity with family and friends, praying God to comfort their hearts and grant strength to face this irreparable loss. May you rest in peace.”
