Goldie Hawn is throwing her reservations overboard.
Not only has the Oscar winner passed down her acting skills to daughter Kate Hudson and sons Oliver Hudson and Wyatt Russell, she also quipped that her oldest granddaughter—Oliver’s 12-year-old Rio—will be joining show business soon enough.
“I don’t think we have a choice frankly,” Goldie told Entertainment Tonight with a smile during a joint interview with Oliver and Rio shared to Instagram Aug. 17. “Same with Kate. I didn’t have a choice, and I think this one, we don’t have a choice.”
Jokes aside, though, the 79-year-old continued, “All I want her to be is happy. I don’t care about anything else.”
Oliver—who also shares sons Wilder, 17, and Bodhi, 14, with wife Erinn Bartlett—is also supportive of his daughter’s dreams, but noted their measured approach.
“She wants it,” he told the outlet. “She’s an amazing dancer. It’s in her genes. But we’re gonna do plays first.”
Oliver emphasized, “We’re gonna go slowly.”
Beyond supporting her kids’ and grandkids’ career dreams, Goldie thrives in her role as grandparent.
