Tragedy struck the Sharma family as child actor Veer Sharma and his elder brother Shaurya Sharma passed away at the young ages of 10 and 15. Veer who is known for his role in Veer Hanuman, and Shaurya lost their lives after a fire broke out in their apartment in Kota’s Anantpura area of Rajasthan, leaving fans and family in shock.

According to IANS, the boys were asleep in their fourth-floor apartment at the Deep Shree building in Anantpura when the fire started in the living room. Though it didn’t spread to other rooms, the thick smoke caused suffocation. Neighbors rushed in after seeing the smoke and broke down the door, but sadly, both boys were declared dead upon reaching the hospital.
Where were Veer Sharma and Shaurya Sharma’s parents when the fire broke out?
At the time of the incident, their mother, actress Rita Sharma, was in Mumbai, while their father, Jitendra Sharma, was attending a bhajan.Their mother, Rita, is known for her work in series and films like Crash Course, Crimes and Confessions, and Chahatein, while their father teaches at a private coaching institute.
What caused this tragedy?
Police suspect a short circuit in the drawing room triggered the fire. An FIR has been registered under Section 194 of the BNSS Act, and an investigation is ongoing. SP Tejeshwani Goutam reported that while the drawing room was completely gutted, other areas of the flat also bore burn marks.
Who was Veer Sharma?
Veer had gained fame for portraying young Lakshman in Veer Hanuman and also appeared in Shrimad Ramayan. He was set to make his film debut alongside actor Jaideep Ahlawat. His brother Shaurya was preparing for the IIT entrance examination.
