Ten years since she last released track, Hilary Duff announced that her sixth album, Luck…or Something, will be released on Friday, February 20.
Duff, 38, took to Instagram on Friday, November 21 to share the exciting news.
“My new album luck … or something is out on feb 20th. So much love, late night anxiety and a little chaos went into making this album – hoping you see yourself in here the way I have,” she wrote alongside the album’s cover art, which showed her on the ground as she wore a dark sweater, black shorts and tights. “I love you and excited is the largest understatement.”
She added that the album is currently available for preorder.

Shortly after Duff shared the announcement, several of her famous friends and fans rushed to the comments section to express their excitement over her new album.
“Yes ma’am! Here we gooooooooo,” Mandy Moore wrote, while Paolo Presta commented, “AHH!!! Somebody cue the jingle bells because Christmas seriously came early. This is TOO good.”
Meanwhile, Duff’s husband, Matthew Koma, left a flirty comment by writing, “Bring those pants or lack there of home please. Haaaaave mercy.”
“I am often asked how I still have my head on straight after growing up in this industry,” Duff said in a statement about the album, per Variety. “The album title is my way of answering that question. It’s luck, but there’s also a lot of weight in the ‘…or something’. Many of the things I’ve been through along the way are held there, and I feel like ultimately that’s what’s shaped me.”
Duff shared that she’s releasing a new album just two weeks after she released the single “Mature.”
The Lizzie McGuire alum previously confirmed she was working on new track in September when she signed a contract with Atlantic Records. Additionally, a press release revealed that a docuseries was in the works that will document her “long-awaited musical return and personal journey, offering an unfiltered vignette into Hilary’s world.”

Duff also previously teased her new track while speaking to Variety in an interview published on October 27. “I have been hard at work in the studio with my husband and a few other amazingly talented people,” she said. “[My fans] are going to hear something so soon, like in the blink of an eye.”
Duff added that she “always knew [she] was going to return to track” despite focusing on her acting career over the past decade. “I needed to feel safe and I needed to have the right people in my corner and be absolutely 100 percent ready,” she continued. “Honestly, I needed to have 10 years of life under my belt. I needed a lot to say.”
