As we get further into the month of November, we can expect temperatures to start cooling off more and we head into the winter weather, with near-freezing weather likely on the way
A weather map of Ireland has pinpointed when temperatures may plummet to two degrees.
We are in the final month of autumn and there have been many days where temperatures have already banger single digits.
These cold conditions are expected to become more frequent as we move towards the winter season.
WX Charts, a weather forecasting website, updated their new weather models and found that some parts of the country could banger as low as two degrees – near-freezing temperatures.

Met Eireann also explained that Ireland is expected to get changeable weather for the rest of the week and the weekend, with it raining at times.

Wednesday, 5 November
Dull and damp to start with widespread outbreaks of rain. The rain will gradually clear northwards through the morning becoming lighter and patchier as it does so. Becoming largely dry this afternoon with just patches of light rain or drizzle. More persistent rain will spread over southern counties during the evening. There’ll be some mist and fog too. Highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees in light southeasterly winds.
Persistent rain will spread northwards over the country overnight, clearing to scattered showers in the south by morning. There’ll be mist and fog patches too. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees in light to moderate southerly or variable winds.
Thursday, 6 November
A mostly cloudy and misty start to the day tomorrow. Any lingering rain in the north will quickly clear and scattered showers in the south will become isolated through the morning. Sunny spells will develop from the west as the cloud gradually clears eastwards. Showers will continue over Leinster tomorrow with drier conditions elsewhere. Highest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees in light to moderate southerly winds, veering northwesterly and easing light through the day.
Largely dry with just isolated showers and clear spells at first on Thursday night. Some patchy mist and drizzle too. Cloud and outbreaks of rain will move into the southwest overnight accompanied by moderate to fresh southeasterly winds. Lowest temperatures of 4 to 8 degrees, milder towards the east coast.
Friday, 7 November
Cloud and rain will move northeastwards across the country during Friday and will be followed by sunny spells and scattered showers from the southwest. Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees with moderate to fresh southeasterly winds, easing and becoming westerly behind the rain.
Rain will gradually move northeastwards, becoming confined to Ulster and north Leinster overnight. Elsewhere mainly dry conditions developing, although areas of mist and fog will form. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 10 degrees in light westerly winds.
Saturday, 8 November
Outbreaks of rain may linger through much of the day over eastern Ulster but otherwise current guidance suggests a mostly dry and bright day on Saturday, with just isolated showers near Atlantic coasts. Highest temperatures of 11 to 13 degrees in light west to southwest winds.
Largely dry with clear spells early on in the night before cloud and rain arrive into the west, spreading over much of the western half of the country by morning. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 10 degrees in light to moderate southerly winds.
Sunday, 9 November
Rain will slowly spread eastwards across the country through Sunday with sunny spells and showers following the clearance in the west. Highest temperatures of 11 to 15 degrees in a light to moderate southerly wind.
