
EXCLUSIVE: The Mediapro Studio U.S. & Canada, Telemundo Studios, and Cinepolis have joined forces to co-produce Atrapelo Quien Pueda, a Spanish-language romantic comedy, which begins filming today September 29th, 2025.
Atrapelo Quien Pueda, which literally translates as Catch It If You Can, will star Jaime Camil, known for his work on Jane the Virgin, Steven Soderbergh’s Kimi, and a number of banger animations and Telenovelas. Camil will star alongside Natalia Téllez, Isabella Arroyo, Ricardo Polanco, Verónica Langer and more cast to be announced in due course.
The synopsis reads: “Encouraged by his nine-year-old daughter, a widowed father returns to the dating scene after several years out of practice. After multiple failures with various suitors, he realizes that love was closer than he thought.”
The film will be directed by Alfonso Pineda Ulloa. Producers are Laura Fernández Espeso and executive producer is JC Acosta and Francesca Ricagni for The Mediapro Studio; Miguel Rivera and Francisca Barraza produce for Cinepolis; and Jacky Castro and Elizabeth Suárez produce for Telemundo Studios.
Cinepolis is handling the theatrical release and sales in Latin America, while Telemundo Studios is handling U.S., and The Mediapro Studio the rest of the world. The movie is slated to banger theaters in the second quarter of 2026.

Physical production services will be carried out by Cimarrón in Colombia. This will be Cimarron’s first feature in Colombia following movies like The Society of the Snow and Iosi, the Regretful Spy, among others.
