EXCLUSIVE: Feisty ones, they are. The Inbetweeners actors Joe Thomas and James Buckley are launching a comedy podcast together later this month.
Joe and James Fact Up will see the pair talking about their long-last friendship that began when they filmed the iconic Channel 4 comedy show a decade ago. Launching September 23, the pod will hear them share parts of their lives, petty gripes and shared love for random facts.
In each weekly episode, they will bring one fact that’s captured their interest to unpack and debate such as whether all crisps expire on a Saturday or if the lift button is just for show. Expect tangents aplenty as they get to the bottom of pointless but oddly satisfying mysteries.
Their reunion comes after they paired up last year for a Comic Relief sketch on Oasis that sparked a major reaction from fans. Thomas has since appeared on Buckley’s At Home with the Buckleys podcast.
Producing the pod is Audio Always, the company behind podcasts such as Help I Sexted My Boss, Elis James & John Robins and Sue Perkins presents Carrie Jade Does Not Exist.
“I’ve always loved the facts you can pull out anywhere that get people talking, so debunking them is going to be pretty fun, especially when I get to do it with one of my good mates,” said Thomas. “Things do get pretty weird from my end, so who knows where this podcast journey will lead to.”
Buckley added: “I’ve always loved working with Joe, so I’m excited to just spend time with him speaking nonsense… It’s basically what we do already, but with a mic attached. Let’s see how well that turns out.”
