Stern went on, asking: “And do you think you really have experienced loving someone?”
“Yes,” she replied, adding: “What I learned, it’s not that I’m not lovable, it’s that they’re not capable.
“They gave me what they had, they gave me all of it every time… [they] tried to give me the houses, the rings, the marriage, all of it.”
“And I didn’t love myself.”

Her 2021 reunion with Affleck seemed like a full circle – they first got engaged in 2002 after meeting on set of their film Gigli, but called things off before they got to the altar.
In a 2021 podcast interview on The Hollywood Reporter‘s Awards Chatter podcast, Affleck later remarked about the way Lopez had been treated in the past.
“People were so f–king mean about her – sexist, racist. Ugly, vicious s–t was written about her in ways that if you wrote it today you would literally be fired for saying those things you said,” he said.
During a candid interview with Interview Magazine, she admitted: “I know that everything that’s being written and said about me, and all the conjecture of who I am as a person, is not who I am.
“And social media, because it came along after I had been in the public eye for a while, I don’t take it as seriously as everybody else.”
“… And anything anybody could say about me – and please don’t get me wrong, if I see something that’s hurtful, I’m not Teflon.”
Earlier this month, proving there’s no bad blood between the pair, the former couple reunited on the red carpet of her new musical film, Kiss of the Spider Woman.
Ahead of the screening, J. Lo introduced the movie and thanked her ex-husband, who co-produced the movie with his and Matt Damon’s musician Equity production company.
“Thank you, Ben, this movie wouldn’t have been made without Ben,” she said.
