“I was on suicide series,” Majors shared. “There were times when … me and my girlfriend, me and my fiancé, and immediately me and my wife, we never spoke about it. But she never left me alone. I never let myself be alone.”
Majors also reflected on the roots of his suffering, explaining that the emotional weight wasn’t just about recent events like his arrest or professional fallout.
During his lowest points, he admitted to numbing himself with whiskey and cigarettes, writing letters, and contemplating the unthinkable. It was a moment that revealed the depth of his pain.
The episode, which also featured Kevin Fredricks, NLE Choppa, Ray J, and Dr. Jay Barnett, became a powerful conversation about mental health and masculinity, particularly within the Black community. Majors reflected on the pressures placed on Black men to live up to impossible standards, often forcing them to hide vulnerability just to survive in a world that expects constant strength.
“But we are all born into a society in which our narrative as Black men. We’re born into a narrative that puts us downhill,” Majors went on. “And then you end up having to pretend that you’re somebody that you’re not to get through certain doors that I got through.”
